The Ibanez AEW23MV pairs a classic Spruce soundboard with tonally and visually appealing exotic Movingui for the back and sides, all bound by rosewood. The body is also thinner, which makes the AEW23MV more amplification-friendly and less prone to the feedback typically associated with acoustic instruments--the perfect choice for gigging singer-songwriters. To cater to the elegant aesthetics of the AEW23MV, the top is adorned with a multi wood top purfling and remarkable wooden marquetry rosette that flaunts abalone and beautifully grained Movingui. A "soft" Florentine cutaway facilitates easy accessibility all the way to the 17th fret. The neck is carved from mahogany and features a 20 fret rosewood fingerboard with maple dot position inlays.

When you're ready to take it to the stage, the Ibanez AEW23MV comes performance ready with a Fishman Sonicore pickup and an Ibanez AEQ-SP2 active preamp that faithfully capture the guitar's natural voice. To shape your tone to perfection, the preamp features a bass, treble and volume control. To assure that you're always in tune, the AEQ-SP2 preamp also comes loaded with a built-in, easy to read tuner. The standard 1/4" output and balanced XLR output provide you with a variety of direct plug-in applications, making the Ibanez AEW23MV adaptable for a wide range of performance situations.

The Ibanez AEW23MV sports a set of chrome die-cast tuning machines with black knobs as well as a rosewood bridge with black plastic bridge pins. Case not included.
