When should they start?

These days we are lucky to have many fantastic Early Childhood Music Centres that specialise in a broad introduction to music education for this age group.

The most practical answers to the question of "When should my child start with instrument lessons?"

• Can they follow basic instructions?

• Can they sit and engage in an activity (lesson) for *20 - 30mins at a time?

If the answer is yes, than there is a good chance they are ready to get started. Generally, between the ages of 5 - 7 is a good time to begin.
